I’m convinced they’re the same. There’s an identical spec of dusk under the left window. Also the reflections on the transparent plastic are the same.

Agreed. It’s also an issue of time management. If I can find a YouTube video that explains a concept better in 5 minutes than the hour long lecture explains it, I would rather spend my time working during the lecture than taking notes.

It’s amazing how the FCC can go against the American people when there is such overwhelming support for net neutrality.

But what if your only choice for ISP is Comcast? 50 million Americans only have access to one ISP. You can't just switch providers when you only have one provider to choose from. Comcast could do this very easily and millions of Americ

Meaning the GPS and phone call background process status bars will no longer be taller than the standard status bar. This caused lots of issues with third party apps whose developers didn’t test the auto layout edge cases.

There's more to it than that. Touch ID was already secure enough for most people. With Face ID you lose the convenience of unlocking your phone as you take it out of your pocket and the ability to discreetly unlock your phone without e

Even if the technology is possible and useful, I personally don’t think we will ever see brain implants used outside of medical applications. The surgery to install a brain implant is dangerous and expensive. There are also religious and so

This is only true if you're fine with reinstalling the side-loaded app every week. This is a pretty major caveat imo. If you want the app to stay on your device past a week you need to buy the paid Apple Developer subscription.

Text selection on iPad has been royal pain since iOS 6 (if I’m remembering correctly), and Apple has done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation since. You tap hold once to select a word, then you drag this tiny blue dot as it glitches

It's almost like they used a random color palette generator. The colors they chose look entirely random to my eyes.

My initial impression was they were intentionally breaking color theory rules, maybe as a way to stand out. It gives off a trendy, hipster vibe. I can't imagine this aesthetic aging well.

They also redesigned the antenna lines to conform to the curves of the phone. The back of the 7 looks a lot nicer than the 6s in my opinion.

This is neat. Although Apple seems a bit touchy when it comes to their iPhone X notch. In the new iPhone X human interface guidelines Apple states that apps should not "mask or call special attention to key display features." I wo

We have iOS 11 which I think is a good indication that Apple isn’t avoiding the number 11. They’ve officially broken the ‘s’ pattern by skipping the 7s and going right to 8, so I’d say the most likely name for the next iPhone is iPhone 11.

The A11 is a massive leap forward over the 6 and 7, that alone is a pretty big reason to upgrade.

Apple is adding a kill switch to iOS 11 that lets you discreetly disable Touch ID (and presumably Face ID) by hitting the power button 5 times. And of course if you're concerned you can opt out of Touch or Face ID entirely and simply u

The high quality image of the upcoming cellular connected Apple Watch is probably the biggest news to come out of this leak. The features of the ‘iPhone X’ have been pretty well known, but details on the new Apple Watch have been scarce. Ha

You can access the underlying datablocks. The blender python api basically give you access to everything, so it's up to you if you want a script that's lower level or simply fires off GUI events.

This is very cool. After a quick skim I noticed this relies on Blender's ops api. Using bpy.ops is generally considered a bad practice because a lot of the bpy.ops operators depend on the state of the UI - things like which objects are

The blender python api is pretty complex, I personally wouldn't suggest learning it without learning Blender's gui first to build an intuition of how things are structured.

After skimming its interesting that the majority of the proofs in your list claim P equals NP. I would have guessed it would be more common for proofs to claim the opposite because P != NP makes sense intuitively. That being said it would c

If there was a jailbreak available, yes. But there hasn't been a publicly available untethered jailbreak since March of 2016, and there has never been an untethered jailbreak of iOS 10. The only jailbreak for iOS 10 was semi-teathered
