If you have enough training data cars encountering “new” situations should be very rare. I don’t think it’s a deal breaker for level 5 autonomy.

As someone who grew up with the internet and rules like this I can tell you that the only thing it taught me was how to game the system and use electronics without getting caught. It gives me anxiety just to think about it honestly. If you

I’m not so sure that most consumers will think “5g is a necessary function.” Without millimeter wave 5g is only slightly faster than 4g, and millimeter wave coverage will be worse than WiFi pretty much everywhere but the most densely popula

Eevee is the real-time viewport renderer and uses OpenGL. Blender's path tracer is implemented with Cuda and OpenCL. Also OpenGL supports compute shaders FYI.

Or, you know, if Apple put the smallest amount of effort into maintaining their OpenGL drivers. Why should Blender have to maintain multiple implementations of their renderer? Even if Apple supported it financially, having multiple implemen

Why would precise location data help with winter/rain issues? Is GM planning to maintain hyper detailed maps of the entire country? That doesn't seem like a workable solution.

Blender's build in file browser is really nice once you get used to it. The thing I like most is that a lot of shortcuts you use when 3D modeling also work on files. Things like box selection, invert selection with 'ctrl I',

I don't think it works like that. iOS is adjusting your eyes by a specific angle to account for the distance from the screen to the camera. If you look away it will appear to the person on the other end of the call that you are looking

The feature is only available on the iPhone Xs so I assume it takes advantage of the iPhone's 3D depth sensing features. When it comes to eye and face tracking Apple has a lot of hardware at their disposal. The photos I've seen so

With the iPhone X Apple put serious R&D into a display that folds back on itself for the sole reason that a phone is more ascetically pleasing when the boarders are symmetrical. Even after a year and a half every phone except the iPhone

Honestly that's exactly what the iPad needs. The focus on discoverability has crippled the iPad since the beginning, so its about time Apple started making the iPad faster to use. Software designed to maximize productivity always has a

Seems unlikely that the knowledge of how to avoid making a mistake could be compiled without human analysis. The technology to do that autonomously doesn’t exist. It would almost require artificial general intelligence, and if we had that s

It’s not unreasonable to require that the president of the United States does not commit high crimes while in office. It doesn’t matter why the investigation was initiated. If he attempted to obstruct justice he should be impeached. Period.

My guess is that the frame rate will be capped at 60fps. In terms of graphics most games will probably be forced to use forward rendering with low resolution meshes and textures.
