by the way the "if the domain owner held the domain since _____" is wrong. When you buy a domain on the secondary market, the original creation date gets transferred. So you can have a 1998 registered domain, that was just purchased a week

a domain is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. i'm in the process of selling a 4 letter domain name, that stands for a major financial product, that gets 20-30K searches a month, and that's currently ranking #1 for that keyw

if they want to make real impact, they should be changing their policies...not just releasing the funds in this one single case. if the only way to get good customer service is to get millions of people to support you, then you aren't doing

I don't think we'll ever see it. There are too many hurdles to overcome. The psychological and liability one for actual plane manufacturers. + it just doesn't make sense economically. Pilots get paid fairly little now, and as automation pro

seems like there is a huge amount of deal of the day type sites on there(i.e. fashion/jewelery etc). I dunno, I just don't see something like that IPOing...those sites are more likely to just sell to one of the big retailers in their space.

We are talking about fresh startups, that are just getting launched. Twingly has been in business for 6 years. And even then, "hundreds" of bills is crap...unless of course you count every purchase on your credit card statement as a "bill"

doesn't really make sense, the NYC area is starving for talent + I dunno where they got it, but most techies in this area aren't that entrepreneurial. chances are this will end up driving salaries up by 10-15%, and will end up hurting most

I did say marketing/sales is the exception. Not bothering to commit code? If it works, and you don't have actual customers yet? Then yes...it's just busy work at that point. Community/Customer Support? I dunno about you, but customer suppor

Doing a startup is 90% waiting, and 10% doing. It's perfectly possible to do one on the weekend. Especially since coding is a tiny iota of actually doing one, most of it boils down to marketing anyways

I think the change was more like 50-60%. A lot of people shop on Amazon for other things, if you had a 30 day cookie like it used to be, you were more or less guaranteed a sale in that 30 days.

not only that, but Amazon is pretty much the only company whose affiliate program cookie lasts a mere 24 hours. All other companies give you at least a month.

I think a large part of the problem is that there is no way to figure out how much each person is actually worth. Sure we have sites like indeed and salary.com that can give you estimates for the position and you also have glass door that g
