I feel modern CV is a little clumsy. Especially how it handles columns. You like this better? The example provided I don't love, but I'm not a designer, it looks good enough I think.

I think it's really the northwest. Oregon has em, but driving from the bay area to LA I never saw one in rural parts of central california. They might exist though.

It seems from this that Portugal is less decriminalized than SF? Which also has clean syringes but the cops will let you shoot up or smoke in peace.

I enjoyed this essay. The picture for this article seems to me to be somewhat in the style of the illustrations that apple used for the early mac user manuals. Charcoal I think. Also, Powerbook 160s have a particular issue with their active

I think you misunderstand shoppable. This just means that if anyone WOULD give you the prices you would be able to choose. Contrast with emergencies or procedures where there is only one specialist in the area etc.

I also "have" (feels weird) aphantasia. Well, it's kinda hard, but I actually do look at a fair bit of antique furniture, and do a little wood working and repair, and I focus on materials, measurements and condition. Then whe

Every time this is on HN it's really just a bunch of people talking about their experiences, and this is just a link to wikipedia, not much more to discuss here. Not very interesting. But it's still wild to me. I could answer zero

Ok, I understand what you mean. In the c spec undefined behavior has a specific meaning that I don’t think applies to this case.

by uxp100 7y ago
That doesn't sound like undefined behavior to me. Or at least a different definition than the normal one.

By generating c code that correctly sets memory to call a function with a particular ABI with the given signature. Then it's the normal sort of wrong. Since the spec doesn't speak about FFI at all it seems, I think this is impleme

I guess my confusion is if writing a signature for a FORTRAN function wrong is undefined behavior. I wasn't thinking that having a function prototype incompatible with the external fortran code would be undefined, just, uh, wrong in a

The article quoted someone saying "OUCH. So, basically, people have been depending on C undefined behavior for ages..." This doesn't actually have to do with c undefined behavior at all right? I think I get what is happening

I'm just not sure if 5.4 is small enough. I'd have to hold it alongside my SE, but I'm not really interested in anything larger than the SE, whose battery I had replaced late last year, and hopefully will last me until late 2

Hunting is decreasing in popularity, possibly due to awareness of CWD. And I don't think there are people clamoring for venison. If you have friends or family that enjoy hunting, you can get quite a bit of venison for free. The best cu

That was the practice not so long ago in the US too. But it is complex. Reusables were thicker and heavier than modern bottles, not just the super light high life bottle, but almost every bottle, I believe, and cans are so light in comparis

Yes. I think taiwan was/is a leader in Carbon Fiber. 90s carbon-fiber-glued-to-aluminum bikes were all made from CF tubing that was made in taiwan, by Giant (that last detail I'm a little less sure on, made in taiwan for certain).

Your library pays for that, it's not free for any library card, just libraries that pay for the resource. Hoopla is a similar service (with a worse catalog) that your library also may or may not pay for.
