Singapore is the same size as Norway, Finland, and Denmark. They're all small. I have no clue.

What they seem to be glossing over is that homogeneity plays a large factor in this. Note that there is a spectacularly heterogenous country at the top of the same list. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore#Demographics

Why wouldn't it work on zsh? The font face is a property of the terminal emulator (e.g. xterm, Terminal.app), not the shell. http://i.imgur.com/RKTOBKe.png edit: It appears (?) stock linux fonts don't include emoji.

Sure, but it shows the UK government has no problem jailing UK parliamentarians. The British government would hardly protest British laws being applied to British citizens! (Maybe you're thinking about some sort of separation of powers? G

That's UK law applied to UK lawmakers; there's nothing diplomatic about that.

In theory if you're going to the trouble of hashing your users' passwords, you'll salt them too. None of us would be in this thread if these types of theories were true.

Patenting an invention is orthogonal to commercialising it. The point of patents is to sell abstract ideas: the basic interaction is to license a patent to someone else. It's a coincidence if the same person who thinks up an invention, is

There's no magic. Terms of the form X(t) * th(t-a) * th(b-t) mean "draw X(t), t going from a to b". X(t) is a primitive trigonometric arc, th(t) is a step function. Gluing together arcs simply meaning defining terms over successive [a,b] in

This misses the important stuff: * The extra flaring is temporary, because gas pipeline which could/would be built isn't there [0]. The issue isn't capturing gas in general, but capturing it right away, this year . Your four-year power pla

Sure if it's 2.6%, 97.4% will be released in some form at some point, but those 2.6% are lost with a utility/greenhouse ratio of effectively zero. But the marginal utility of capturing that gas is negative: less than zero. (By the way it'

Tax the waste so that it becomes something more than a rounding error. So what exactly, an arbitrary 1,000% tax just to make it expensive, because of a subjective emotional reaction that says this particular 3% ineffeciency is pure evil

I think the raw numbers speak for themselves. The amount of gas being flared in North Dakota is about 150 million cubic feet per day [0], worth (at $3.95/thousand cubic feet, at the wellhead [1]) $220 million per year. The amount of oil bei

Oh, thank you. I intended only a very narrow point about chloride reactors being untested (not MSRs: just fast-spectrum chloride MSRs ). I didn't mean to provoke a debate between molten-salt and liquid metal reactors. I claim neutrality.

It's only been a few years since India was "pardoned", and Australia is just one of many potential suppliers. The broad point is, the entire world uranium market is open to India, which was not the case until recently. India's preexisting n
