There are a bunch of offerings like that. The GTRS S800 guitars come to mind. If you want to keep your own guitar, the BOSS Waza Air headphones are completely hassle - free.

My argument was that in absolute terms, the 1% already pays ~100x more than the median tax payer, which seems pretty close to stating that the median tax payer reaps the benefits of modern civilization essentially for free. Regarding inequa

In California, home valuation increases are capped to 2% per year via Proposition 13 and decreases follow the market. If your house doubles in value, most of that growth is still unrealized until you decide to sell.

Without delving into any moral or fairness arguments, it is probably fair to say that a US tax payer in the top 1% probably already pays 10x to 100x in taxes, in absolute terms, compared to the median tax payer. If I'm reading this [

The system did not rely on honor alone to work. If a rich citizen was tapped to provide his services, he could either perform them or choose another, richer, citizen to fund the city. That citizen could either accept the honor, or swap weal

If X_k is the coefficient for the sample window (x_0, x_1, .., x_{n-1}) and X'_k is the coefficient for window (x_1, .., x_n) then X'_k = (X_k + x_n - x_0)exp(2pik/n).

This article is from 2013. It's useful to note that 1.54" 240x240 IPS displays can now be had for <$5 [1] with much easier to work with interfaces. [1] https://www.buydisplay.com/1-54-inch-tft-lcd-display-ips-pa

Little known fact: FFT is an O(nlgn) algorithm, but incremental FFT is O(n), meaning that if you want to compute FFT on the past n points of a stream of samples, it only takes O(n) to compute it for every new incoming sample.

Indeed, RP2040 and ESP32 is where the world has moved to. What would be the point of ever using ATMegas anymore, when the RP2040 has two Cortex-M0+ 133MHz cores, a bunch of peripherals and only costs $1 ?

Not a book or a course, but rather a blog post by Sanjeev Arora et al that made backpropagation crystal clear for me: [1]. [1] https://www.offconvex.org/2016/12/20/backprop/

To me, there's no better description of backpropagation than this Sanjeev Arora's et al post from 2016 [1]. [1] https://www.offconvex.org/2016/12/20/backprop/

Google is refunding everything, not just hardware. Contrast this to Amazon for instance, where movies/tv shows you have bought just disappear from your account when Amazon loses the license to serve them.

Hats off to Stadia engineers for the engineering marvel that they created. I'm certain they'll be sought after both internally at Google and externally. Also, hats off to Google for refunding all hardware(!) and software purchases
