I like the spirit of the second half to demonstrate what the team is up to, but I too wondered about potentional one-upsmanship problems. I'll definitely start following this to learn more though.

The article actually links to a Reddit post[1] where the creator of Advent of Code says that 2023's puzzles weren't engineered to be more difficult for LLMs. --- [1]: https://old.reddit.com/r/adventofcode/

I love how some announcements of developments still occur in good old-fashioned forums; it really warms my heart to see that. Kudos to the author for the hard work!

Maybe I'm clearly ignorant, but how does this differ from Klarna ( https://www.klarna.com )?

Thank you for doing this! I too have wanted to play with Fly's distributed systems challenges but was put off by having to do the setup bit.

News like this remind me of the song "Why" by Chat Pile[1], which is almost always gives me a frisson. It's a damn shame how slow the bureaucratic cogs turn, all the while real people are suffering. --- [1]: https:/

This is absolutely gorgeous! Would you ever consider having a self-hosted version for job-seekers?

Same. I had a vague notion that there were people HODL-ing still, but nothing on the level shown by Folding Ideas, yet again.

Seeing a guide like this ( https://slack.com/resources/why-use-slack/how-to-accelerate-... ) on their home page now kind of falls flat on its face: > A modern emergency response center housed on a reliable digita

The author lives in Italy. From the first paragraph: This maybe seems to be a weird post, especially for those who don’t live in Italy, because here in Italy there’s the common belief that the abilites of a worker, usually are less cons

I haven't seen the newcomer Starlight[1] being mentioned, so just throwing that out there as well. It's by the wonderful folks who created Astro[2] and my own limited usage of it has been great! [1]: https://starlight.a

The best book I've read on the topic of the lab leak theory is "Viral" by Alina Chan & Matt Ridley. It goes into the nitty-gritty scientific detail as well, but also covers some of the things you mentioned too.

There's also Copier ( https://copier.readthedocs.io/en/stable/comparisons/ ) that is worth a look at. I especially love the how you can bring a template up-to-date based on a new changes.

Azure is also having somewhat widespread issues at the moment, so I'd venture to guess that these two are also linked.

I once tried a cocktail based on chartreuse and it was definitely something. Can't say I would recommend anything based on chartreuse to anyone. It's a really, really peculiar taste, though if you are adventurous then by all means

To those that wish to automate a subset of these conventions, there is a tool called Sourcery[1] that I, personally, am a huge fan of! Not only does it have a large set of default rules[2], but it can also allow you to write your own rules

In the roadmap section[1] the author says it's more of an experiment with a possibility that some of the rules might end up in the original 'gofmt' tool. While I agree that Go having a de facto formatter built in is wonderful
