Tangential - The funny thing is, broadcasting Bluetooth to multiple devices isn't a new thing at all. Back in 2017, Motorola did it on their phone [1]. No extra hardware afaik, it was purely a software solution. Of course, the company

Apart from the needless ableist/rude comment, no, they're not just popular because they're different. For many younger people (the iPhone-natives), wired is novel to them in some ways. Novel things always have some people a

This depends a lot on too many factors. I'm not of your target age group, but not only me but most of my friends are similarly technically minded. Many of us were rooting our phones back in school, even though it wasn't needed of

Side note, this comment is evidently quite controversial, it went from +3 to +1. If anyone is angry at me I would like to assuage them that I am not , in fact, any owner or maintainer of anything in the linux distribution system.

Thanks! I looked at a random 2005 chart. Question, is this data generated by spotify itself, or are you using some other chart-tracking tool?

My comment was half in jest (I wasn't super serious about it.) In another sibling comment below I wrote how it's still possible to leverage this without actually implementing it.

It's pretty cool! I cross "validated" with the charts of where I'm from and the results seem to be fairly accurate. One question/request: How did you get the data, and would it be possible to filter by language or g

Honestly, like the Left-pad incident [1], getting things to go suddenly dark is extremely effective at getting people to drop everything else to fix an issue. Ideally, getting these servers to auto turn off the day this goes into effect (

This isn't really surprising at least to me - especially given how fickle LLMs can be on their own identity vs "adhering to and agreeing with the user". Till the day LLMs grow a spine and can't be easily convinced to f
