Yup. Depositing in an institutional repository usually takes effort by the faculty member. SciHub bots will put it in SciHub for you!

Yup. Pinterest is less about saving the URLs/pages, than about curating a selection of pictures and visually displaying them in a fashion-magazine looking manner. Pinboard doesn't do that last I checked.

What's the difference between trolling and toxicity? The words have seemed interchangeable in most contexts where I've heard them used.

Yes. As a psych major in college, I was astonished to find that the same major included, say, quantifying the changes in neurons in rat brains after rats were exposed to specific stimuli, and empirically unmoored speculation about supposed

To say a degree "guarantees" you such a job is very much an overstatement, though. (Even more so to imply a guarantee of "a pension when you retire at 65.")

I had one cat like that (extreme agitation and threat displays through the window at stray cats). I have another one who, after his cat companion died, started exhibiting play aggression and increased clingy behavior toward me. When I got h

Since it sounds like they're getting plenty of socializing in on weekdays, is not getting it on weekends that much of a problem?

If the IV reduces or eliminates the discomfort of dehydration faster (which it seems it would do faster than hours of spoon-feeding?), that might also actually reduce the overall trauma level.

Get a (paid) lawyer? (I agree you shouldn't HAVE to in a society with a well functioning justice system, but that would be the obvious means)

It looks like someone is paying attention to this thread, since all these terms are on the blacklist now. However, I had wondered if the author's original intention mainly was to help cooks make a determination about non-obvious ingr

The recently popular "worst X ever!" idiom, and its variations, pretty much end my ability to take the person who uses them seriously.

In the case of cucumbers, it's to extend the shelf life because otherwise they very easily dehydrate through their skins[0]. (The alternative is waxing the skin.) I've never seen an individually shrink-wrapped potato or bell peppe

Presumably not if you own the car. Sex in public (including in buses, subways, etc.) is already illegal in many areas, and cab-company equivalents would presumably get to set their own rules as they do now.
