I haven't used Atlas but I recall in 2013 mLab being a pretty solid experience. A lot of great features for a reasonable price. Anyone have an idea at what market share looks like for for MongoDB hosting these days? As an aside I recal

Almost exact same setup for me GA-P35 + Snow Leopard running tri-boot (Linux, Windows, OSX). I reclaimed the OSX disk as a data-only partition as it became seriously unmaintainable in 10.7. FWIW I've not had any issues upgrading Linux

Hmm, at one point wasn't there a tight integration between Koding and GitLab? Or at least an attempt to make the tools more cooperative? In fact a Koding acquisition by GitLab seemed like a no brainer. FWIW ~2012-2013 there was Cloud9,

Many thanks to Graham! search.cpan.org was invaluable during my college senior projects in 2002 and much more so in my first gig. Back then I couldn't imagine being a Perl dev without it. FWIW I can't imagine a better way to trans

I remember my Voodoo3 quite fondly. There was quite a performance boost in games based on the Quake engine. I also recall their being poor Linux driver support until 2005 or so. My Voodoo3 ran right up through CS v1.6 (albeit struggling at

Didn't Rackspace acquire ZeroVM during it's 2010-2013 SaaS buying spree? I'd anticipated seeing ZeroVM as some part of their "cloud" offering but it looks like it was rolled into OpenStack Swift. Has Cloud Files per

Ideally the presence of the `WALE_GPG_KEY_ID` env var should enable encrypted backups https://github.com/wal-e/wal-e#encryption . Put differently to be a "successor" it needs to be a drop in replacement ;)
