You might want to try http://devtools.web.roku.com/#stream-tester-tool as a way to test specific media files and streams without having to code a full channel.

I'm the developer of this channel and am not directly associated with CCC; I asked for permission to use their API to provide these videos for Roku users and have been developing it off-and-on for a few months. I'm planning on ad

No, when setting up the TV, if you choose not to have a network connection, there is no need to link. There wouldn't be a way to link, as the TV can't reach the Roku servers.

The scripting language used for developing Roku channels is BrightScript, which is based on BASIC syntax with some bits of other languages thrown in.

That was because it was setup in connected mode and was trying to tell you of a connection loss. If you factory reset the TV and choose not to connect it, you won't have the blink.

The first Roku TV platform was launched in Fall 2014 with TVs by TCL and Hisense; those TVs are still getting software updates -- 9.1 was released earlier this year, and Roku OS 9.2 is in the process of being pushed to all models now. Rele

This is the ACR technology in Roku TV devices. It works on the TVs inputs and fingerprints the video several times a minute, sending thumbnails to a server to get visual matches. To disable, go to Settings/Privacy/Smart TV experie

Yes! I've got the Dell Ultrasharp 38 on my desk and it's been wonderful. It runs at 3840 x 1600 and gives me lots of room for text editor, terminals, and web browser, filling my line of sight while I'm working.

Roku TVs can operate in a dumb mode -- during guided setup, you can opt to not connect to the network, and they won't try to connect from that point on. There are still some ads that show up occasionally on the home screen, but they&#

Again, no Roku device has ever implemented Ethernet over HDMI. It's too poorly supported in TV hardware to be worth doing.

As far as I know, no Roku device has ever implemented Ethernet over HDMI. It's too poorly supported by devices to spend money on implementing, and WiFi just works better.
