Uh that recipe/article is credited to Daniel Gritzer, not Kenji. You might not agree with it, but at least blame the right chef. :)

I believe it's to discourage stuff like "10 Ways To Get Rich" or whatever, i.e. list articles are considered below us or something. Failed in this case.

Meta: has the friendly HN title sanitization system removed "80%" from the start of the title? I feel it makes little sense as it's worded now (just "Percent Jobs") so perhaps that warrants fixing. Thanks.

Is this: 50GFLOPS, 3Mpixel/s Imagination BXM-4-64 graphics processing unit (GPU) A typo on the fillrate? It has to be 3 billion pixels/s, right? At 3 million you can't fill 640x480 VGA at 10 fps, even ...

Forestry harvesting equipment (those all-terrain vehicles with long booms) uses hydraulic chainsaws for the felling step. Of course then the hydraulic pump is on the massive vehicle so portable in that way.

Meta: there's a typo in the last word of the title (an extra 'e' in "development"), might be worth fixing for posterity. Thanks.

This looks pretty cool, but (to me) it would be way easier to understand if there was a square-on picture with thumbs in place, showing how to read the visible parts of the card.

(Meta: As already pointed out by @comex, this post is from 2010 and it would be helpful with a tag in the title to make that clearer.) That said, it's an awesome post (not surprising considering the source). I found the initial set-up

The source for GNU's true (from coreutils [1]) seems to be 80 lines which is ... infinitely more than 0 of course, but still quite manageable especially for a core utility. Oh, and I "love" how the coreutils code considers st

When using variable-length arrays (which I know are being phased out but which still do exist in the language) sizeof is indeed evaluated at runtime. It's weird.

It's probably silly to start remote-lawyering with Mr Torvalds of all people, but that is obviously false, and (also obviously) he knows it. If it acts exactly like a function, show me its prototype, and how you would call it through a

It irks me no end when language-lawyering like this uses sizeof in the stupidly obscure way of the first example. sizeof(*(&s)) I mean, wut? Really?? This should just be sizeof s Since sizeof is not a function, and red

I think you tripped over the US way of presenting nutritional data per serving . It's 0.5 g per 5-g serving, i.e. 10% (roughly same as Coke which I guess is generally agreed to be sweet).
