I don't see why. Sure, the CI server would have to be involved in some way to run the tests, but a central server for "coordinating" code review is unnecessary, IMO. Now, as github (and others) have shown, a central place for

All I'm saying, is if you recognize that a word is potentially costing you contributors, why wouldn't you change it if there is another word that is just as good? I'm just trying to be practical, not trying to force PC-think

Sure it's a slippery slope, but let's think about this from the perspective of an open-source project (where I most see this issue debated). If a goal of yours is to attract as many people to contribute to your project as possible

I don't see where anyone has proposed we "ban" any words at all. What I see are people who suggest that we use a different set of words, that accomplish the same ends as "master/slave," except with words that a

Except that people's experience of words doesn't come from the dictionary. Words aren't experienced in a vacuum, people assign different meanings to words based on their own experiences. To some of us, "master/slave

I don't think you need to learn C and C++ as a prerequisite for learning Rust, but I still think C is worth learning. The concepts that you would learn with C++ can be learned just as well by learning Rust, so I would skip C++ if I wer

Yea, the Red Wings are the one thing I miss after cutting the cord. The only option for me other than GC is going to a bar, and for a few reasons, that is not an option either. So, I catch the highlights online, go to the rink when I can,

I'm not a huge fan of facebook either, but how is this a response to @jedberg's point, at all? Being a "For profit company" doesn't preclude them from "using their power for good once in a while."

Between virtualenvs, containers, or just plain ol' `make altinstall`, there are enough ways to run a python application that _doesn't_ use the system python interpreter that this shouldn't be an issue. Not to mention that mos
