Ukraine applied to NATO AFTER they got their land annexed, not before. Also, before Feb 24th, Ukraine is still years away from being accepted into NATO. So no, whatever the real reason for the SMO was (highly likely to be oil), it was not b

If only you make a library out of it, and it’s unsound. Not so different from any other programming language community I guess.

on the other hand, that makes Rust's learning curve way way more gradual than C++. An intermediate programmer with 3 months of Rust experience can reliably and confidently cobble up the libraries together to contribute to the project.

I think the main point is Rust takes much less time to learn to be able to contribute to a complex code base at the caliber of Linux. With safe abstraction on top of unsafe, the seasoned/guru developers can build building blocks for in

Rust-for-Linux doesn't use cargo, yet no satan or demon appears anywhere. Yes, adding dependencies is not single line updated like Cargo-based workflow, but also not that much different than adding a C/C++ dependency.

Not only that but also the clear boundary of responsibility. If there’s a way to use a library in safe Rust that cause UAF, that’s the library problem. In C, it’s because you are using it wrong.

Using 4k at 2x scale, you have exactly the same desktop space as 1080p but with 4x more pixels to render your fonts.

Non-hiDPI display in 2022 is a non-starter. There’s simply not enough pixels to display text correctly with full hd.
