I question anyone purchasing a machine with generations old hardware in 2018. Especially considering the Mac pro had been supplanted by newer macs at that point.

I have to question that claim. Poor countries eat plastic two, yet we don’t see the same cultural phenomenon‘s here.

There is no circumvention going on. The problem with the t2 chip is more of the lack of proper driver support, because it’s Frankenstein hardware even for Apple. There should be a driver to support apple NVME implementation, and that shoul

Apple won't support Vulkan, and moltenVK isn't good enough for DXVK. macOS also doesn't support eventtfd system calls like linux. Pretty much the only options are crossover/wineskin engines, or parallels.

That mostly applies to the developed world. Countries like mine won’t be able to afford the necessary changes, and we’re set to keep growing.

To be specific, the M1 supports a stronger memory model which makes emulation easier. There is no real dedicated hardware though.

Pandering in big tech is nothing new. Apple likes to support minorities, but they completely forget about their slave labor in Asia. As a minority myself, these actions will make sure I keep some distance between me and these companies.

When a graphics card manufacturer is allowed to artificially gimp the hardware you bought, is that really any better? they modify firmware and drivers in order to restrict you from performing certain workloads.
