If I hacked Hugging Face the FBI would want a chat. Shouldn’t be much different if someone’s robot does the same thing.

I agree. Not all topics are worth exploring. We don’t have to develop every dystopian-enabling technology. Build something else please.

I had the opportunity to tour Cambridge last year and was thoroughly disappointed. There is an embarrassment and performative apologies for the university’s history and accomplishments. Today they are coasting along on a reputation that too

Even the military doesn’t run people this hard because it’s not sustainable for normal people. For jobs where workers need to think, sufficient rest and time away is required.

Couldn’t put my finger on it, that’s what it is. Unlike a baton or pepper spray, this leaves no marks and has no distinct visual signature when being used. I bet these (or more likely AliExpress knockoffs) become really popular with club bo

Sounds insane. A delusional lunatic would expect that from an employee, and only a crazy or extremely desperate person would take that job. What’s the equity and salary for completely dedicating your entire life to this company? Why not jus

I want the police to have a lot of options available to them, to avoid the “everything looks like a nail” problem. Something about this feels icky though. Maybe because it’s easy to imagine this being misused or abused.

Yes, but is it the correct answer? I wasted several days trying to have AI teach me containers. I would have been much better off just reading the docs.

Do VCs ever sign NDAs or non-competes? I imagine they don’t because they have the money and the other party needs money? Or is it supposed to be an understanding that presenting companies won’t have their IP stolen?

I don’t give Amazon my money, that’s something most people have the agency to do. There are many, many other places to order from on the internet.

I wonder if there were any brands or items that were outliers in the cost to value metric? I prefer to buy nicer things that last a long time, but clothing is an area where cost is only loosely coupled with quality. Spending more doesn’t al

Theoretically CS degrees are valuable and necessary. In the real world, it’s incredibly difficult for new CS graduates to find work. I would not recommend a CS degree path to a college freshman. There are a glut of tech workers on the marke

There’s always someone who has a problem with development of any kind. In this case the nearest person lives five miles away? A truck occasionally drives past? These people should be ignored because they would have a problem with anything.
