Fascinating article, thanks for sharing. I’d be interested is reading a more technical article about the project management part of this process.

I’d never heard of that site, but CNN also has the same story. https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/31/politics/drone-incursions-us-...

I am not excited about my transportation becoming a subscription service, likely through regulatory capture. It will almost certainly mean less freedom of choice for me.

It’s strange how Amazon employees don’t think an auction represents market prices. I’d say that it perfectly reflects market prices.

I’d love a small local model that detects AI voices and blocks the content.

The timing of the event at 2AM suggests something nefarious rather than an accident. That’s when it would be least likely to be noticed, but the temperatures would be high long enough to spoil all the food.

Local government’s arrogance and inability to thoughtfully address concerns from the people they represent definitely fuels some of the hate. When you watch some of the hearings it seems like friction was inevitable.

The original failure was not defining broadband ambitiously enough. It should have been technology neutral, but could have specified a minimum speed of 250 up/250 down to encourage actual broadband infrastructure builds.

Vibe coding is addictive for the same reasons slot machines are. Sometimes the output is great, sometimes not, but it always feels like a change to the prompt will get you closer to the prize. Just like pulling the handle on a slot machine
