Why does it have to be even? Why does it matter? Equal Outcome != Equality of Opportunity. Unfortunately the two are often conflated in an attempt to imply there is some form of discrimination taking place by people with nefarious motives.

That intercoolerjs looks pretty decent. With regards to tooling I agree it is too complicated. I really wish that everyone would coalesce around a standard set of tools. But it would be the equivalent of cat herding.

Which is basically blackmail. Unions tend to make things worse in the long run. If you don't like the company find a job that gives you a better deal.

I know you are being facetious, however there are options which the market provide. 1) Other companies that are willing to sell you workstation and laptop computers that you can run other operating systems on such as one of the Linux varian

Just doing a quick web search and the company made $224 billion dollars in 2018. Do you honestly think they aren't achieving optimal sales? The proof is in the pudding and they have a very very large pudding. > It's okay to be

While you may scoff enough people are willing to pay the extra for Mac OS and a high level workstation to justify their prices.

Why should they? The market dictates the price. If people are buying Apple products at those prices then why should Apple lower their prices? The answer is they shouldn't.

Make sure you save up the money, pay off all your debts. Start doing stuff at work "properly". Then once you got yourself back upto "match fitness", start looking around.

Adding support for a Graphics API isn't that difficult. What is difficult is adding support for all your internal tooling. This can be anything from existing scripts, build processes to the tooling itself. It simply isn't worth it
