It's pretty slow compared to Twitter's own search. I'm seeing 9 minute index times.

We already have the first two, there won't ever be TV popup ads, and if by social media you mean Hulu then we already have that. I fail to see what you're saying.

Does Amazon have to improve their user experience? Amazon.com is one of the most-used sites on the planet, and you can download any mp3 from its product's page. I use it more than I use iTunes, at this point.

Which is why I love my Mac so much. Most of what I need it does without my worrying about. At the same time, I can rip it up and change anything I'd like to if I want, and there are communities to help me get it changed. When I do need a

Is that really the ethos you see Apple emanating? Because I've always seen the opposite. One of the things that I thought coolest about Apple back when I was on Windows were the people who talked about installing Leopard on a Powerbook and

I guess that's what makes it hard for me to comment on this. I don't really care much for flexibility or variety or freedom. I want something to work as well as it possibly can, and don't worry about tweaking it unless the tweaks make it ru

What do you need a middle-click for? I used to only use it for scrollballs, but multitouch killed my need for that.

I can run any application on my 1st gen touch. Some things run a bit more slowly for me, but they work. Most things work perfectly. Games sometimes exceed me, but they still look perfect on the screen. Apple's not stupid. If they up the s

I said looks like less of a wussy lineup. The Macbook has always had a much cheaper feel to it compared to the Pro. It doesn't look incredible now—I don't like how non-contrasted it is—but it looks better.

Huh, I didn't realize that. I was actually referring to it in terms of visuals: the old plastic Macbooks look very dated.

Hm? The aluminum Macbook still exists. It's just classified under the Macbook Pro line. 13", right? Think of the polycarbonate case as Apple's attempt to make a product that's affordable as possible. I was expecting them to phase out the pl

Well, it handles text/audio/video chats. But text chatting is still a big part of it: Right now I'm using it for group work, because it has a great filesharing system. It's very flexible, but I think it still counts under the instant messag

The new iMac looks nice, the Macbook looks like less of a wussy addition to the lineup, the Mac mini still looks like a Mac mini. What I'm excited about is that mouse. Multitouch scrolling is the feature that I love most about my Macbook Pr

Yes, but we're talking very small screens here, with very little room for design. When you can design any application to run at 800x600, then maybe you don't fill every screen but you have enough space to do what you want. When you're dea
