If they are wireless cameras that connect to the cloud it sounds like they might be prone to auto-updating. You'd have to do extra setup to ensure the cameras are both connected to your WiFi but are not connected to the internet.

But it sounds like OP wants the flaw. If the company fixes it then OP will no longer have "full local access to [their] wireless security cameras without the cloud", so disclosing is directly against OP's interests. In that c

Thank you very much for posting this! I just tested this and it does exactly what I wanted - to get full type checking including 3rd party libs without having to convert all my existing files to be modules. I owe you a beverage of choice-

I like the idea of typescript. I tried to port a vanilla js browser game to typescript and I found it introduced a lot of complexity to the project. It sucked me into the npm ecosystem and forced me to rewrite every file to use js modules i

It's like when you get the correct answer on a math test, but then when the math teacher asks you to show your work you bumble around and can't reproduce the thought process required to arrive at the correct answer.

Some of the very best websites I've had the pleasure of visiting and interacting with use vanilla (like https://ciechanow.ski/ for example). Using React for every frontend solution is like using K8s for every cloud sol

IMO for things like static sites, or sites that only have some landing pages and a bit limited interactivity behind a login portal, vanilla HTML/CSS/JS is perfectly fine. The complexity of vanilla gets out of hand when developing
