What if the person traveling wants to use a SIM card from his country of origin in order to receive important calls but don't want to incur incredible expensive data roaming costs and decides to use a local prepaid sim on the iPad to a

Battery life was an important consideration. The trip from Ulan-Ude to Khabarovsk takes 3 days on a train that might have or not power outlets on the coupe cabins depending on your luck. The power supplied from these plugs seems to take age

I wish it was that simple. First there is battery life and surprisingly some foreign carriers block tethering features like Personal Hotspot. As an example a SIM card I've got from Softbank in Japan in 2014 only allowed me to connect t

I've crossed Europe and Russia by train while receiving emails and calls from work (from Brazil) during 50 days and the only machine I had was a 2017 10'5 iPad Pro. I've ditched the laptop because of how light it was and also

I wish I could do that. I probably could if I didn’t had an MMO sucking a portion of my soul. But I confess I can do these things because my work is basically sprint and rest kind of job.

Dragon Age suffered EA-fication along with Mass Effect. Even then I never thought it was even close to Baldur’s Gate. Part of it about being too edgy and tryhard but I did played it. My favorite part was the underground exploration part spe

NWN Hordes of Underdark and NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer were fantastic. It had that “magic of the outer planes” flavor that reminds me of Planescape Torment. Weirdly enough the main character of HoTU was the one from Shadows of Udrentide (did

Well I’ve played Torment and BG games. While Torment had a superior story the immersion and worldbuilding factor of BG and BG2 were a different beast.

Brazilians have terms that make no sense at all even in our own language. Things like greeting someone with “beleza?”(Beauty?) and the other end replying with “Jóia” (jewel). Other things include “pretending to be armless John” and “pull yo

Mmmm eGPU + Passthrough would be sweet. Imagine gaming or using GPU heavy applications on a Windows VM with dedicated GPU and without the need for a separate set of monitor and input devices like Looking Glass does. https://githu

Go applications do not need golang itself installed like a python or ruby. You can create the binaries on any machine and just ship the executable and it’s assets if applicable. The binary is static and contains everything it needs to run.

So an intel CPU + discrete GPU fills the requirement? Also novidia is known to block driver installs from a VM because “you should be using a professional GPU for that” but there are ways to trick the installer.
