Also novidia is known to block driver installs from a VM because “you should be using a professional GPU for that” but there are ways to trick the installer.
- shmerl 8y agoAMD has no such problems.
- 0x8BADF00D 8y agoCorrect, it is way easier to setup with kvm. Would highly recommend AMD cards for this over nVidia.
- shmerl 8y agoI'm using VMs but not for gaming, just running Linux guests on Linux host. virgl works pretty well now for that purpose. But what's really missing is SR-IOV. AMD so far didn't want to support it in regular cards.
