Your absolute best bet is to sign up for Visual Studio Dev Essentials and try out all the 3 month trials they give. Pluralsight in particular is a really great resource. https://www.visualstudio.com/dev-essentials/

I was a Trello Gold user before they added the Enterprise tier. They seem to have completely forgotten Gold exists because all of their new features are Enterprise-only. I ended up just going back to a free plan.

I got a Dot for $40 a few months ago and liked it so much I got a second one at amazon.com/alexadeals for $20. Already had two alarm clocks with Bluetooth speakers built-in, so very quickly I gained a full-coverage voice assistant for

My wireless issues directly correlate to my power bill here in Florida. The more the AC runs, the more it overheats and fails me. It's smooth sailing once the temperature drops, though.

A common idiom is "not know whether to laugh or cry", which usually means a situation is extremely bad. I don't really know how that applies to having a birthday party a week after you announce you're quitting, though.

> This makes for an awkward cupcake ceremony where you’re not sure whether to smile or to laugh. "I don't know whether to smile or laugh" isn't a very powerful expression.

Edge's right-click menu is a joke. It has to be a joke, right? Every so often I'll decide get my feet wet in Edge, maybe login to a few websites, and then I hit right click and it's right back to Chrome/Firefox.

I saw their logo recently in Font Awesome and was surprised they included it. I thought Yahoo shut it down years ago. I guess I just jumped ship and never looked back; that name is forever tainted for me.

The top HN comment on this article is about how music teachers that focus on form and fundamentals are ruining young musicians' desire to learn. To me, your comment is the ultimate rebuttal of that. Guitar is quite easy to play wrong;

I can only guess that Black Mirror coming to Netflix is the first time a lot of people have ever seen decent science fiction. Before that it was what, Battlestar Galactica?, which is basically a soap opera with b-roll of a spaceship.

At this point in the internet, it's almost a given that any single link you click is going to have an auto-playing video and 5 MB of JavaScript tracking scripts.

Most games would just show a cutscene of you sliding down a hill and then give control back to you once you got to the bottom, but TR forces you to use the controller a few times and shows you an awesome death sequence if you don't. I
