Not being able to do this because you have kids, a mortgage or student loan repayments is down to choices you have made in life. Someone who doesn't have those commitments holding them back because they chose a different path shouldn&#

I watched Sicario last night. Great movie, but it also highlighted how the drug war will never be won and what a waste of life, money and time it is.

Give everyone: 1. Food 2. Clean, safe and warm shelter, doesn't need to be fancy 3. A little money to spend (just a little! There still needs to be incentive to go out and work!) 4. Free and good quality education And legalise drugs. N

We don't know the context these photos were taken in though. Might have been during riots, or a terrorist alert. I'd personally want the cops to look like that if there was a nutter on the loose with a machine gun.

I saw a TV show a couple of years ago about which nation's national diet is the healthiest. I admit I don't remember them giving sources for their claims, but France was high up the list of healthiest, even though they eat a lot o

Not aiming this at you but just people in general, but I'm pretty sure one could lose weight in a much healthier way by just eating a balanced diet (eating REAL food, not processed junk), not overeating, cutting out as much added sugar

I prefer stackoverflow for things like this as I can see from comments and up votes whether the command does what the poster claims, or whether it is going to make things worse for me.

Now if I could just think of something to sell to the Chinese, and find a partner in China to help me set up hosting over there.

Good on you. I've drastically reduced the amount of meat I eat to about once a week, for many reasons including environmental. I feel western society almost worships meat (especially in America - bacon, anyone?) and links it to masculi

If you knew what happened to the animals your cheap meat comes from, or what their meat contains, or what the process of raising those animals does to the environment, you wouldn't consider organic meat to be ridiculously priced.

Great idea and a nice site. I love it's simplicity, and the ads don't piss me off, which is a first. They load with the page rather than 2 seconds later, so I don't notice them in a negative way, and as you say they feel appr

Good point about Rickman. I guess visually I just imagined Marvin to be this moping, hunched, depressed C-3PO kind of figure. He was such a funny character in the book!

I loved the book but was really disappointed with the hitchhikers movie, particularly the casting (with the exception of Martin Freeman). And they ruined my mental image if Marvin. But I guess that's why books rule; you can picture cha

I'd be OK doing non-coding work, if it was for my own business, I think. Might even enjoy it! Thanks for the link, I'll definitely check out some of those videos!

Surely $833 a month ($10,000 a year) still wouldn't be even close to enough for someone who is unemployed to live? Wouldn't rent and bills use that up, without leaving anything for food, clothing etc? I love the idea of universal

Holy crap! I left a company 6 months ago and we were using Gulp there, and it was, as far as I am aware, the hot thing to use (I'm no front-end dev). Now you're telling me it is obsolete?! Javascript world is silly.
