I'm not sure what your point is? I'm going to assume you meant that I thought we could literally set all the current livestock in the world free, which is not what I meant. Rather, we would just stop breeding them in the first pla

I made a perfectly logical connection, thank you. It's easy to get all the required proteins from plant sources - lentils, beans etc. That was my point.

Are people so averse to things like lentils and beans as soures of protein that they'd rather eat roaches? What a strange world we live in.

Or skip the pigs and the roaches and everyone eat lentils and beans and grains and all those other delicious plants. Save the planet and our health (not to mention billions of animals), yeehaw!

I'm from the UK, and citizens can only own shotguns or sporting rifles, and the checks and character references are very strict. Pretty much no one owns a gun other than farmers. Read this to see how strict the checks and rules are: ht

I think you are scraping the barrel a bit by bringing military cars into it. We are obviously talking about cars for civilian use. A Ford focus is not designed for killing. As for guns having other uses such as protection or hunting; well I

Sure, they'd eat you for food / out of necessity. They wouldn't mutilate you just as an experiment though.

This is speciesism in its purest form. So if we took a Planet of the Apes style plot twist, and apes became the dominant life form on earth, I suppose you'd be OK with them strapping you in to some test where you will probably meet a h

Aren't people complaining that their office is too noisy to work in? I wouldn't be going to the pub to work, rather to relax and have a beer and a chat. For the record I'm talking about a traditional, "old man" pub

I'd probably be guilty of this, but it's not because I am rude or anti-social (I love talking to people one on one or in very small groups), I am just socially anxious and struggle to talk to people in an open office environment w

I prefer to wait until the work day has finished and then go to the pub and have a beer or two. I don't really understand the appeal of drinking at work (which seems more prevalent in US), surrounded by office equipment and computers,

It makes me excited and happy to think of other life out there, waiting to meet us. But sad that I will probably not be around to witness it.

Good old petrochemical fertilizers. Who cares if we kill off most other life in the ecosystem as long as we have us, corn and cows.

Yes and we shouldn't kill those animals either. We shouldn't be killing any animals, for food or otherwise.

Anyone who thinks animals do not suffer is an idiot. They have nervous system, therefore they feel pain, just like us. They also suffer emotional pain, not just physical. Kill a pig in front of another pig and he/she is going to be ter
