I'm against free speech in certain circumstances; free speech is idealistic, for it assumes Bad Ideas will be shot down in fair public debate, and people are rational. When people say things along the lines of "I don't like w

One might consider domains to be personal property, in that they exist only as a mapping on servers owned by people. On the other hand, registrars collect rent from them, so one could consider them private property. So I am not sure if I am

Does one actually own a domain name? I thought one owns a license to a domain name, which can be revoked at any time by the issuer, and that if it is seized, then it is the license that is seized. Interesting.

Interesting, I missed that part. In this case I would say he is incorrect, then. Having a Communist party in power does not make a Communist society.

I'd wager a variety of factors, including post-collapse suppression of Communist ideas, the legacy of the Soviet Union which is regarded poorly in many eastern European countries, and disillusionment with Marxism-Leninism, or at least,

GP is probably noting that Communism is a classless, stateless, moneyless society in which the Law of Value has been abolished; "Communist state" is an oxymoron.

I assume the reason why GP is asking is beacuse they want to be able to distribute a repository, i.e have people know where it is. Without a git host then you need to run a http/ssh server from your computer, which isn't an option
