I'm not so sure. By putting this service's code on your website, you transmit personal data (IP addresses) to this third party. That appears to make the GDPR applicable here? Transmission is considered "data processing"

First off: hats off for making a product that takes the rights of the end user seriously! However, I am a bit confused as to who would want this product. The sort of questions this product answers seem quite limited: 1. What URLs are gettin

I do think describing (American) law in more detail here did help resolve some tension, because it clarified an alternative between absolute tolerance and absolute prejudice. I don't see why protected classes aren't an impartial s

You're talking only about the public + free MOOC stuff, right? I think it's reasonable for that to be biased toward less specialized stuff. Internally, Berkeley definitely isn't based toward the intro-level stuff. Quite the o

The claim that EU may have a populist-fueled agenda against American tech companies is not entirely without basis. It's not lawless anti-Americanism, but the tone has certainly changed. Consider what the Economist has to say about Marg

I don't see the relevance of Ms Reda's example of Catalonian domains being taken down. Using such an example seems more like a scare tactic than anything else. The EU law she discusses seems clearly focused on (e-)commerce, and it
