If the sensor is only on the right side I guess it won't be able to detect actions from the left eye. My first thought is with timing or counting winks. "Three fast winks" = "Take Picture".

"Google reserves the right to deactivate the Device" Wow, is it even possible for Google to do this? I mean, if they can do it for pre-release versions, how can I be sure they won't deactivate mine's whenever Google want's

For such an special case, I think it's a great idea. How many analysts can the FBI/CIA/DIA throw at this? I wouldn't be surprised if one of those guys in the pictures comes out to be suspect or somehow proves his "innocence". OTOH, there ar

You make a good point at the big importance of choosing the right tool for the job at hand, and that's the people. Also, I think that if you want great programmers in not-so-popular languages, you'll have to pay big time for them, because u

Actually, I think the stereotype he was targeting was that of software nerds who are married with non-technical women. This is my case and my wife isn't offended. I don't have the data to backup this, but from my personal perspective, all t

Nice UI. What does those button at the landing page mean? I was there expecting for a hint to come up from any of the buttons. Then, for some reason, I didn't get what I think were questions since after the "tutorial" (really nice) that par

Why o why do each and all of the OSS clones I've seen use a freaking full-fledge database? You could easily use SQLite or you know, files. This is not a rant against devongovett but to all.

I would build robots. Not with AI, but simple programmable robots with commodity hardware. If I can add them AI in that time span, well great... depending of the level of AI of course. Or an exoesqueleton, that would be cool too.

looks good, I like the option to select different template engines. On the other hand, your i18n approach is not correct, since you are using only the language and not the country code: en_GB is different than en_US in lots of aspects, i.e.

Although not always, you'll end up mixing CSS with JavaScript. In this case when naming CSS with dashes it's easier to differentiate from my JavaScript names, i.e. $("#myDiv") vs $("#my-div").
