I really dislike this article. It took me a little bit to figure out why. Most of the annoyance comes from fatigue of reading this kind of thing. "Humvees are more carbon neutral than a Prius" kind of thing. Besides my personal an

We've been using circus in production for nearly 6 months, and I've been very impressed. Configuration makes sense, and it's been rock solid for us. If you've ever found yourself frustrated by supervisord, or upstart, I&

I think it might be a bit early to draw that conclusion. Whether by coincidence or not, it did coincide with Samsung's rise as the biggest rival to iPhones. Granted other Android manufacturers around the same time started to compete he

To add a data point, I'm not going to give a chat app (a small utility, but an important one that I'd be willing to pay for) a second thought at $10 without a trial.

I don't disagree with your sentiment at all, but have you thought about the "curb" being the primary factor behind the increased creativity? Is leaning back and puffing from a vape as effective for you?

Since the main goal seems to be node discovery, can you compare why I might want to use this in addition to Salt? I've found salt's node discovery and targeting tools fast and powerful.

We're a team that's partially remote, and partially in an office. One tactic that's worked well is instead of forcing the co-located members of a team around a conference phone, we have everyone join a google hangout from the

Not to sound too snarky, but I would look at your cooking technique. Also, as others have mentioned, a better smoke alarm may also alleviate the problem.

As a homeowner, it's way in the other direction for me. The thermostat does an excellent job of saving us money through our heating bills. And compared to other thermostats that can talk to a phone app or web app, it's cheap. This

I like my Nest thermostat, but I'm more inclined to add smoke detectors from Simplisafe to my security system. They're cheaper, and offer more of an insurance discount because they report to a central monitoring station. I would&#

Pi has a pretty poor, noisy DAC. For anyone that cares enough to set something like this up, they'll probably spring for an outboard DAC.

Basically because you need a DAC somewhere. If I want to put speakers around my house, I don't want to run a full receiver with HDMI and a DAC to do so. I want a small, low powered device I can plug into a small T-amp and some speakers

We had the same experience at a VW dealer. The salesperson was nice, let us take a nice long test drive, and worked out a reasonable deal for us with little pressure. As soon as we went to the finance side, though (we used VW credit), it tu
