Neither of your comments answer my question about level of comfort. I would be interested to hear your answer to that question.

How is an email thread with multiple branches any different than the comment tree in this post? What makes it less comfortable and why is it a nightmare compared to how the comments are rendered? The only difference is that you could have

Usenet, IRC, and the chat clients that were around 20 to 30 years ago were very popular and none of them ran on a website. But your comment doesn't answer my original question about level of comfort. Why is learning how to write progr

I've seen messages in Facebook comment threads where the usual approach is using short phrases like "Hi", "How are you", "I really love your posts" and some of them end with asking for a friend request (so

If vim doesn't have clipboard support enabled, then this is one way to copy and paste. The vim packages in the Fedora repositories are configured such that vim doesn't have clipboard support, but gvim does.

Drew DeVault created this[1] to help people start using git send-email. I'm not sure if it works for the purpose of contributing to your project, but it may save you from having to explain the same thing repeatedly :) [1] https:/

Is there a reason why client side TLS certificates never took off as a form of authentication? Unlike webauthn, it doesn't depend on a specific application level protocol like HTTP.

I believe Gmail requires (or soon will require) authenticating with OAuth2 in order to use IMAP and SMTP. Thunderbird supports it, but I'm not sure about other email clients.
