I use the older desktop version at work just to jot down notes etc. Don't want to upgrade it, don't care for anything else.

What's the difference between using these password managers and a plain old spreadsheet file?

Speaking of private data and encryption, do you know which FF file is responsible for History data? I know the Bookmarks json file but I'm looking to keep my history file as a backup too (which I believe FF doesn't backup like it does book

Okay, I'll give these two suggestions a try. Sync worked the first time for me but then it just stopped. It no longer brings my stuff over to new profile/install, so I was curious to see if my data is even there or not (which is not a big d

There may have been number of storage sites popping up back in the days but didn't Dropbox provide something new and necessary technology to the PC? As in, don't worry about backing up your files? I don't recall even Box dot net - who was

Two things: 1. Sync is totally not up to par. It doesn't inform what it does in the background and there is no place to check on the web what it uploads. I am not sure why FF even bothered to release this feature when it is not even ready

There is no startup time in Chrome, it is always running even if you close it.

Their everything unlimited plan is $99. That's still a lot from median/average perspective.

Nice concept, but it doesn't seem big enough right now for me to login and come back everyday.

You are comparing apples with oranges. I said competition is good because we are talking about blogging space. Imagine if there was only one blogging platform. It would not be a nice situation. So Wordpress and Blogger both developing act

I should also add. Technology is driven by people so it matters how they use it to the advantage of all and not just some. When technology helps people, we generally mean to say that people are helping people. I am not being altruistic he

I expect basic education to stay within the realm of government and free. Public giving up education to private/corporate sector is a recipe for disaster. How technology can help government improve the quality, and how technology can keep

Two things which should be basic human rights and absolutely free, are: communication and education. But people wish to earn $$ off of them. And then they wonder why the world is in such a messed up state. Kudos to Khan Academy and Bill Ga

Competition is always good. Finally an overdue upgrade and nice to see continuous development. I think Blogger is one of the few Google product which still has relevance and consistency. If only they had worked a little faster to catch up w

I want my browser to develop and improve the History feature so I don't have to rely on manual bookmarking. Strangely, no one is paying attention.

Firefox 4 + Sync (Slurp to get the bookmarks out of delicious). Additionally, use Dropbox or SugarSync to backup bookmarks folder. With 5 copies of backed up bookmarks, you'll be covered from all sides.

I corrected the URL, Wordpress.com as you know has really long URLs so I didn't want to post the whole thing. I am not sure if I am following how Firefox 4 and no tags is a spam?

Can you show me spam in my comment? And where did I use the word "loosing"?

Man I hate it when people downvote my comment instead of replying. What an affed up system this is here at HN.

Okay thanks. It seems like an interesting concept, something that should be native to Email perhaps. However, outside of this thread, if I visit your site (as an average user), the concept of how it works doesn't seem easy right away. I'll
