The so far most successful SMR, BWRX-300, is also that size, and also a scaled down version of a long lineage of reactors. They are shooting for the same price target as well. So they are just going where the market is going.

I don't see how that makes any sense at all. Nothing happened in this case that the Swedish police couldn't do themselves without any international requests.

In my experience, it will only reliably tell you what country you are in.

You can do better than that if you use the waste heat from thermal plants. Both for hydrogen production and co2 capture.

Yes, in the sense that they are both admissible in court. This is Sweden, not USA.

For those kind of roundabouts you add signals to the pedestrian crossing. Although above a certain size tunnels or bridges becomes justifiable, but then we are pretty far from urban environments.

Yeah slowing down cars "naturally" by using narrower roads and roundabouts, and then built lots of non-signalled pedestrian crossings (sometimes with bumps) have been a trend for some time. The data seems to support it works.

You can have traffic signals for pedestrians even if there is a roundabout for cars.

So you are complaining about the lack of traffic signals, not the roundabout.

If Rust had algebraic effects, your example would be: fn foo<T,E>(closure: impl FnMut(&T) -> bool | E) -> Option<T> | E All that's needed syntax-wise would be a way to attach one or more type parameters to

I don't think anyone would describe their proposal as a limited version of algebraic effects. It's missing the algebraic part for one thing.

I agree but Rust is extremely unlikely to go in this direction, even though it is a pretty good fit.

It's worth adding too that the US for some reason has insanely low thresholds. Orders of magnitude lower than most other developed countries.

So your attitude to misinformation is that we should just give up, and act as if it's true? Should we stop doing vaccinations too, just because some people believe they contain 5G chips?

Helium-3 can be made on earth by fusing deuterium nuclei. Which is a lot easier than fusing Helium-3 nuclei, so if you can do the latter the former is probably a lot easier than going to the moon.

Yes but the parliament can change the law however they see fit, to exempt this mine from environmental law. This has already happened twice in the last few years (cement production and hydro power).
