Yes and no. There's a large segment of students who are not 100% passionate about programming in itself and follow what looks and feels nice over what's practical. But that's their los IMO.

As far as I understand, without any work (energy consumption) that is directly tied to the value of the asset, there's no argument left for it to be a currency, i.e. it can only be categorised as a security asset.

Compression and decompression (gzip) takes computing power and RAM. The resulting JSON (in memory) is still harder to parse because of the required field names...
