There is a big difference between simplicity that is properly planned (and tested) and simplicity that comes as a result of lack of design skills. Compare the two: http://basecamp.com/ and http://plainboards.com/ The amount of text is a

I hate to be the one to bring it to you guys, but your landing page just sucks. Doesn't convince me one bit - in fact I didn't even bother to find out what it sells or what problem it solves for me as a potential customer. So instead of bit

This post is heavily opinionated and is hardly a beginners guide. I've never heard of Padrino to this day and I consider myself quite up-to-date developer. Beginners should learn languages (preferably with standards in mind) first and then

At the speed these aircrafts are moving, I doubt there would be significant improvement over these camo solutions. Not to mention the price difference.

I second this, I've been developing with Apple wireless keyboard for years now, and I love it mostly because it's really small and I can access pretty much all the keys without moving hands much.

Well you said it yourself: within reason . Commercial TV stations are popular because they do it within reason . Yes you can always try something new, but IMHO you're wasting time if there's no real purpose - other than taking a totally n

Actually, developing web applications isn't much different. you still need to obey the rules and follow best practices (especially UX-wise), otherwise customers will go to another provider. So by saying you have a huge freedom, you are ju

This article is comparing apples to oranges really. Bootstrap is a CSS framework, which has nothing to do with content administration, it just defines look and feel - or better yet, lays some basics on which developers can build their layou

I don't even care if people say it in person when FB reminded them. The only ones that count is from people that remembered it on their own!

Why is that? Because I can't agree with big companies pulling their sponsorship because of a mistake? They apologized - which doesn't make it ok, but hey - now pretty much no one knows or cares how much effort has gone into the hackaton eve

I agree. This was a prank gone bad. No one got hurt (apart from a few egos). Pulling sponsorship because of that is just lame. Don't get me wrong, I have the deepest respect for women but that doesn't prevent me from pulling (even sometimes

This would be a problem a couple of years ago, but I think it isn't anymore. Any startup can lease it's own webserver(s) (be it VPS, cloud or dedicated) for prices that were unimaginable even 5 years ago. And best of all, most providers tha

Although I agree with the point made here, Apple probably wouldn't have a gajillion if they weren't charging developers (not the only income, I know). "Palace is made of bricks" we like to say.

You really shouldn't "think" which one is better here. Do your homework, analyze the market, do the math and let the numbers tell you which one is the better pick.
