I'm not sure I understand why people are so intimidated by Google. So what if they enter the same niche someone else is in. The way I see it, Dropbox has been around for years and thus having a lof of experience when it comes to usability a

Not a bad start, but you can easily drop Apache2 for even better performance. You should use php-fpm (FastCGI Process Manager) instead mod_php. Installing is a breeze too.

Well, it's only natural to check out the opposite sex. It's like a part of our DNA or something. Nothing creepy about that.

If I got a nickel every time someone tries to redesign HN, I'd have my startup funded :) Not bad though I've seen better.

Really? This is your advice? The guy probably spent months building the app and the best you can come up with is recommending the free option? Yes, free can also be a business model, but there needs to be a lot of consideration put into it,

It's not the technology, it's just that I do not want a "preview" feature for every post on HN. When I see an interesting title, I click on it - otherwise I ignore it.

Not impressed. This is why frames are dead for quite some time now. Feels unnatural and breaks importance of catchy titles.

Let me answer that with a question: How was Dropbox able to "survive" when Apple has their cloud (and I'm sure Windows will feature something similar as well)? If I remember correctly, Apple wanted to buy them and they said no. The bottom l
