The oppressed outsider wiling to say the truth against all odds is a meme invented by hucksters like Weinstein so they can sell you their supplements/ads/patreon subscription. It has little basis in reality. (it's obviously t

This is heartbreaking to read. I don't know how people who's communities are going through this pain deal with it. I can barely read this article without getting emotional.

I don't think it's easy to describe in words. You actually have to be there. I've lived in a suburb of Toronto for most of my life (similar to a random American suburb), and when I went to Florence for the first time, I had a

Ideally each analog device that simulates a neuron is equivalent to tens of thousands of digital transistors that simulate a logical neuron (in space-time for GPUs or CPUs and just space for neuromorphic asics) . This makes the trade-off mu

You can't drive a Tesla in "self-driving" mode in non-highway traffic. Solving Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Automated Lane Centering (ALC) on highway traffic are much easier tasks than what Waymo and Cruise are solving.

Weird to see you downvoted on a forum called "Hacker" News. Who would actually use repl.it to build apps as opposed to the traditional way of having your text editor + compilers installed on a machine you own? I think repl.it is g
