If you strip away the dogma and cultural "decorations" of most religions the foundations are all mostly the same.

Give yourself permission to not be excited about things you used to. It's okay. There is nothing wrong with you. This can happen. This is normal for a lot of people. If you're comfortable and not starving, take it easy for as long

Replace "new species" with "human fetus" and it's basically the same argument that surrounds abortion. I am not saying one side or the other is correct, I honestly don't hold a strong opinion on this issue. Jus

I totally agree with you. The ethos went "mainstream" in the sense that it was fashionable to play the part and be in your words a "fake hacker". And for future historians and those unfamiliar with the jargon, hacker eth

Seriously!? Thank Darwin we had ancestors with thicker skin and stronger will. Nobody wants nuclear war or to live in the aftermath of it. However, should it ever happen I intend to do everything in my power to survive. Early humans endured

Like all subcultures when the hacker ethos went mainstream it's spirt died and all that was left was fashion. No one cares anymore if their consumer choices are a threat to freedom as long as they look cool. Outward appearances are now

Indeed. One thing labs lack that the early earth had in the plenty is space (for multiple "experiments") and time.

You're still in a bubble. Taking a flight for a business meeting is wasteful. Full stop.

Reducing wasteful polluting plane travel is a bonus not a bug. The "space" dimension is so overrated when it comes to meetings. If that is the only thing that has been keeping cities together then they're doomed.

This is absurd. Yes rural lacks a government run composting program because it would have a negative benefit but plenty of people do there own composting and use it for gardens or such.

I never understood this logic. Outsourcing energy, building materials, and food production doesn't absolve a metro of it's climate impact.

My eyes are wide open. I agree with private property. But we're not talking backyards and prestine grasslands. These are remote rocky old mining trails, logging trails, and train tracks. I ain't saying there is any easy solution.

Simple. Add a new config to the project root directory that defines the config locations. Done. /jk I do like the .config directory naming suggestion though.

I agree with this. Just this week I had a lengthy 2 day discussion involving 4 other employees, 8+ long emails, and hundreds of words in chat ... all to figure out that we need to add an if/else statement and two simple lines of code.
