I have always used MyPy but I have noticed some large open source projects adopt Pyright as of late. The folks behind ruff and uv are currently working on a type checker as well but haven't heard when they plan on releasing it.

The biggest help we got was meeting directly with our customers and asking them “What would it take for you to login everyday to view this dashboard” and they clearly provided metrics and trends they care about but have a hard time getting

Textualize mention they want to make it so that you can deploy the same code base as a TUI and a web app. My guess this will be additional paid functionality that makes a seamless hosting experience.
