I thought the author did a great job on the sound design here.

For anyone interested in working on visual programming professionally, we use it for creation in Rec Room in a system I built called Circuits https://blog.recroom.com/posts/2021/5/03/the-circuits-handbo..

Hell, I’m a dev and I already produce most of my slide shows in Figma. I’m so happy a dedicated product is coming! I find Figma unmatched for architecture diagrams. It’s nice to have them at my disposal when preparing slide shows.

By god do I agree with this. I feel like all my most diabolical ESM issues are beating the tsconfig.json, webpack.js, and package.json into shape to get ESM and legacy working.

Not a completely fair comparison IMO because the first term is an advantage when running for the second.

I find this article overly negative. It sucks that Spotify is bricking it but I doubt they care that it’s a potato. You can still do cool things with a potato.

You’ve got me interested but I’m finding it quite annoying that WizTree doesn’t actually have pictures of the software UI on the website. At least not under any of the obvious links I’ve checked.

I'm reading 'Making Software: What Really Works, And Why We Believe It'. One chapter summarized this paper which attempts to build a defect prediction model based on organizational structure. I wanted to ask this community ab

I agree with this approach. I tried to make a few on my own and no one liked them. I wasted a lot of time making good dependencies for them because it felt like the right way and made me intellectually satisfied even though it really burne

I worked at a company which had a Unity builded codebase. The company had actually branched the codebase for two separate products. One of the products kept the .h/.cpp build running in CI in addition to the Unity build, the other prod

I believe that ‘crash the runtime’ is legitimate old behavior. IIRC changes eventually made the default crash on UnobservedTaskException an optional configuration setting and there is now an event they are reported with.

TBH I’ve despised the object oriented parts of PowerShell… and it’s been my primary shell for a decade. I just mainly use it with text.

Interesting. In my mind an id is an identity. I think of ids as ‘what distinguishes and object uniquely from other objects’.

Personal pet peeve but IMO ‘ID’ is a bad example because it is an abbreviation, not an acronym. I generally recommend ‘Id’ but I’ll admit, it’s like a tabs/spaces debate. ‘UI’ may be a better example :)

Idk that those discussions human problems TBH or at least I don’t think they are distributed equally. America has a special obsession with these discussions and is a loud voice in the room.
