Not the poster of the question, But I think they're referencing the litany of transpilers and repackagers which exist for js. So you can add new features and then still have it run on really old systems like internet explorer 9 if you

You know it's funny that I never noticed this, I always turn off the voice directions since I found them annoying. But yeah that's an annoying experience if you use voice directions, and in some instances I could see it as really

Great response, love your project. I'm a big music nerd and did a bunch of work in radio for a while. Personally I think that this project is really onto something, I can see music visualization being a really great integrated feature

Totally agree. But I believe we are at the beginning of the willingness to pay for internet services cycle. Many people can't or don't want to yet, but I think in the next 5 to 10 years it will get a lot more main stream adoption.

Google maps is basically the only app as I see it which is still amazing. Besides the whole tracking your entire location thing, but you can mitigate that.

I hear you about people offloading the work of their values being protected by another organization. However I think that time has shown the following: - The values of organizations can change rapidly within a human lifetime. - It's p

Somewhat off topic. But I felt like this article was extreamly well written. It summarized the science while also not going overboard in trying to convince the reader that the bacteria referenced was 100% definitely the main culprit. I real

I agree with you, and your 2nd point about the b2b areas being important. However I think the general math you do needs a bit more nuance. You'd want to exclude all people living in cities so you'd need to exclude the land mass ta

Yeah basically what I think you're saying is that in a weighted graph, if there are edge weights which are orders of magnitude larger then the average it throws off certain models. Like nearest neighbor. Basically just prune the top a

I think that publishing 3 artifacts causes a number of other changes which expand the difficulty of management of the backend of the app. While they do allow, hopefully, independent scaling and seperate recovery processes. Separate artifact

Most users don't know what the words sms or totp mean. I'm not saying that totp isn't easy to implement in the grand scheme of things, but for many people it's not straight forward to setup. Entering a cellphone number a

My 2 cents fwiw. Pop os is probably the best consumer linux desktop experience. Flatpack installs, company customer support, and a well configured Ubuntu base make it ideal. I'm glad they're not an official flavor, canonical hasn&
