I don't see how this is lock-in, unless they have somehow crippled the exporting feature. It seems like the only thing preventing you from moving that 70GB of photos is a lack of motivation.

I've never had an experience this bad, but I've had plenty of bad experiences with sketchy rates in Baltimore cabs that I just take Uber or Lyft.

Eh, I can see that argument with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, but in this case we're just talking about keeping older products alive at a lower price point.

On a 5s with iOS8 I have seen the Touch ID system completely vanish. It wouldn't lock and I could launch Mint without any kind of authentication (the mint app has integrated Touch ID which previously worked well).

Well, sure, but for a device that pushes some technological limits (a responsive touchscreen UI built into a credit card) I think seeing it in action is pretty important. So far all I know is what they want it to be like, which means lit

No, MacPorts is actually more sane in this regard because it build it's own set of dependencies instead of relying on anything the system provides. This makes it a more soundly designed tool, IMO. Homebrew also recommends using /u

So GlobalID means instead of doing `SomeJob.enqueue(instance.id)` (and then `Model.find(id)` in the job) you just do `SomeJob.enqueue(instance)`, and presumably reference something like `object` in the job?
