It's a pretty stupid bug to ship with, I'd easily call it a showstopper.

Unless I'm seeing some leftovers from the beta/rc, I think the default theme still ships with a nearly impossible to grab window border, which is somewhat infuriating.

Fair point, I tend to think of typing things into the XBox or the wireless keyboard on my HTPC (which annoys me whenever I have to use it), but I've used Tivo search before and it's not bad.

It's a bit argumentative to assume it's FUD and not an honest mistake or a change in the Adobe Reader 9 installation process.

I have a very hard time seeing anything that requires a keyboard as being any kind of success outside of the techie community. Typing on a TV screen sucks, it sucks a lot.

I have clients ask for videos that work on the iPad and iPhone, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've used this maybe once or twice. Granted, I'd have been pretty annoyed if I tried to do it and discovered I couldn't, but it would have had fairly minimal impact after the initial indignation wore off.

To makers, Android isn't a competitor to the iPhone, its the base upon which you build that competitor.

I think my favorite departure comes from Half Baked: "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, and fuck you, I'm out!" That said, you can keep an account without ever visiting the site, for those not-that-close friends.

Odd, I regularly see complaints here on HN of this or that not working, and the response seems to often be that you have to pay attention to what hardware you buy and you can't expect everything to work... often with a snarky comment about

Team Fortress 2 has offered absolutely stunning value to the buyer over the past two years. Paying $15+ for DLC for the Call of Duty, GTA and Battlefield games is an absolute joke compared to the massive improvements that have come to Team

I do not recommend the Apple in-ear ones. I got a pair of $15 in-ear headphones that sound much, much beter (compared to the $70 for the Apple set). The Apple pair sounded tinny, which for the price really isn't worth it. Now to find ones

I go for having a settings module which imports different things depending on what's available. For example, you can define host-specific settings based on hostname for different production servers (or production, staging, QA, etc), or jus

Everyone says this but there was so much more going on I think it's a bit silly to pretend that "open v closed" is a safe way to summarize "Microsoft v Apple" in the 80's/90's.
