   I also tried using bullet-journaling for a while but fell back to the yearwise hardcover diary of sorts (something like my father used)[1]. I think that does the job easily without me getting bothered by creating things like monthly and yea

   Can you please explain a little more? I always thought Germany (and Scandinavia) to be a strong economy where although you pay a lot of taxes, the returns are extremely well in terms of childcare, hospitalization, etc.

   I second org-mode. Previously I was using OneNote but that is limited to Windows, and on Linux I need to be always online to use the web interface. To add one more use case: I was thinking of creating flash cards and came across org-dribble
