It is not necessary to hold someone's hand to socialize. Working remote can contain just as much people as a regular office. There doesen't need to be a social obligation to force you to work proper. Feeling appreciated and import

Meeting rooms can actually be great for collaborative work, it' judt that they're often used for that rigid status-update manner that makes it seem unappealing

I like socializing too. Heck, i can talk all day, every day. It's just that no work gets done, which might put some employers off

It's ironic to try and fit as many software developers in a floorspace as you can, when their productivity more than linearly drops like that. You could do with a few, actually focusing people.

Overall it sounds more like you're justifying it rather than saying it doesen't happen >This is usually not a problem - after 10 minutes, you're working, everyone else is and nobody cares. This is very cultural. I live in
