It is impossible to know how may Iranians want the IRGC gone. But bombing schools (and bombings in general) will definitely increase the support for it.

Or the US could just stop bombing Iran? Then there would be no reason for Iran to attack American cities.

"Energy doesn't appear immaculately from the heavens." It actually does. There is a big fusion reactor up there that gives us a lot of direct energy, if you don't live near the poles it is enough for everything.

If you are expressing your judgement based on experiences from more than 10 years ago you are not really contributing to the discussion.

Linus T explicitly licensed Linux under a license that allows anyone to run it but requires people who modify modifications to share those modifications.

A lot of things are much more efficient in China as well. Compare the cost in time and money for travel between Beijing to Shanghai vs New York to Chicago for example.

If you think that fathers taking care of their kids is an "edge case in parenting" I don't really have anything to add.

"People in their 20's will see peak world population in their lifetime. It will be fascinating to see how society changes over the decades that follow that." I am 45. I have fairly big* chance of making the global population

What are the kids waiting for? Why are their parents there?

I think it is crazy that you have gates to get into the school grounds (buildings should be locked, I get that). Like my BIL in Sydney suburbs, he lives right next to a school with super nice basketball court etc, but can kids use those on

Interesting that you only seem to think that mothers should take care of their kids.

Just a reminder. The point of religion and beliefs is that it can't be proven. If gods existence could be proven we wouldn't believe anymore. We don't believe in gravity for example.

When you have federal agents going around murdering people* in the US, the biggest problem you feel to write about is some kind of fear that private car insurance will be more expensive in the future. Good prioritization! * I know you can h

Chess games usually have time limits, so pretty easy. Cross words depend on the size and difficulty.

If you have complex tasks and you have more than one person put in time to do a proper estimate, yes, you should sync up and see if you have different opinions or unclear issues.

Excellent example why anything else than work hours is pointless to estimate in.

Then you need a new estimate. That is not hard to comprehend.

You can improve if you follow up the estimates. My team had several months when we were within +- 10% in the aggregate.

Slightly OT, but anyway. The only reasonable way to estimate something is in work hours. Everything else is severely misguided. Also, if you don't follow up any estimate is meaningless.

So you want to force Red Hat to keep maintaining the xorg stack because you are unable or unwilling to change jobs?

You accept money to work on Red Hat products, that is a choice you make. The owner/manager of the company you work at is free to decide what systems to use and then pay people to carry out her strategy/direction. You probably don&

You don't have to use Red Hat's products or code if you don't want to. There are plenty of competitors that might suit your needs and desires better.

5-10 years ago there were no apps designed for Wayland. If you build it they (app developers) might actually come!

You are totally free to work on whatever you want to. You don't have to use the software that the Wayland devs (and other developers that like Wayland) produces. You can use and code whatever you want.
