Author here: I dictated this article into my phone and got a model to transcribe and clean up / reword. I'd argue that counts as using AI as a tool for conveying my original thoughts.

I do pretty much all of my development in a VM because it's easy to manage and control development environments. It works very well, but I'd make sure that you have a fairly powerful machine.

I'd definitely suggest the Dell XPS range. Both the XPS 13" and 15" laptops are fantastic devices.
