I tested it last year on my static blog and it mostly worked, it missed some CSS like underline colours but good enough. I then tried wikipedia and just got a blank page.

That's just because you had to program on punch cards and run your progran over hours to see if it worked. Now its faster to just run the tests and see how it went rather than spend ages reading the code trying to spot issues.

I don't think background location works anymore. My GPS logger I use for cycling gets killed after about 20 minutes if it isn't the currently open app when I turn off the screen.

This is some good advice. Riding a bike gives you a much better sense of community because you see the people and recognise they are the same people you see all the time rather than just another generic car you will never recognise again.

A demonstration on inspect element also quickly teaches people how easy it is to create a fake screenshot. No need for complex work in Photoshop when you can create something that looks perfectly real effortlessly.
