Population density? Amount of gerrymandering and voter suppression? Length of time spent in segregation? Amount of annual snowfall? By all means, share with us what YOU think "everyone" knows.

Progress is typically limited by the unreasonable stubbornness of older generations. You are following a long and petty human tradition. Plate tectonics was widely derided by the old guard of geologists. The field had to wait until they mos

Non-blocking I/O is quite mature on Java, and it shows. Unfortunately Java is still a rabid devourer of memory. Its RAM consumption tends to be the biggest con whenever evaluating the pros of using Java. Sometimes it's worth it. M

Threads are for doing your own work in parallel. Async is for waiting on others to do their work in parallel. Your own work would be some CPU-intensive operations you can logically divide and conquer. Others' work would be waiting for

I've comments on it, but here goes again. I can't at all say Svelte lacks magic, but that magic is focused on eliminating boilerplate, not hiding where everything is coming from and going to. It is jarring at first when you look a

Oh! I forgot one of the best parts! CSS is automatically scoped to your component. No manual shenanigans. No weird naming rules your dev team have to agree on. No giving up and just using inline styles. No hacks. Just make a descriptive cla

My point was you were very TS/JS-centric with a preference for frameworks that embed HTML and CSS in JS instead of the other way around. Try Htmx?

I never said it wasn't successful; I said it had successfully increased complexity. I am glad you are an experienced React developer. React needs more of you, because the vast majority aren't. That said, I have little doubt your a

You may prefer it to jQuery's model, but that doesn't make React's model good. Try SolidJS. Similar ethos to React but far less boilerplate and performance-killing repaints. Less code is better, functional or not.

Yep, the amount of UI component libraries for React is truly staggering. I myself am more of a clean, standard HTML with PicoCSS kind of dev, but that model doesn't work for everyone. Some might be surprised how much plain old HTML and
