Always add $49/month (the basic support plan) if you want to compare AWS with DO/Linode, don't just look at the $5/month instance charge.

The issue with Google launching these services is you don't know when they was/will be blocked in China. Not really a global competitor to CloudFront/Azure IMHO.

The post make sense only if you havn't ordered anything from taobao/tmall (not alibaba.com or aliexpress), and have no idea the difference between taobao/tmall and amazon/ebay and thus how logistics work for taobao/

It is not FUD. libdrizzle as you mentioned still lacking of MySQL 5.6 support. (libdrizzle 5.1 stable version was released two years ago)
