200 dollars? For less than 30 bucks you can buy broken bluetooth headphones on ebay and a linear voltage regulator. Plug them into the barrel jack, done.

They're pushing heatpumps out of some misplaced effort to reduce emissions, not to improve climate control in homes. Nobody I know in Germany has AC except commercial buildings and rich people. They couldn't afford to run it anywa

It was always clear that the nazi mods would never ever give up their power, which made this whole "protest" ridiculous from the start. The only ones who left were the few good people in small subreddits, who just wanted a forum t

What does it matter? All the people who bought apartments in the middle of nowhere as an investment now want to buy the apartments in real cities => thus more demand.

Haskell has to pay _a lot_ to achieve full type inference. A price that is way too high imo for a feature that nobody uses anyway. Among many other things it precludes subtyping, which I assume Python relies on heavily.

If your Samsung heat pump costs 1-2k you can expect the same product from a German company to cost 7-15k for no appreciable difference. Why buy the German product then? Because the builders who install it will get a cut of course. They don&

Why the 100GB hard limit? If you can stream from disk you should be able to process infinite data sets if the operations allow it. If you need to do stuff like deduplication, then it will depend on how much RAM you have available.

Heat pumps will never be a viable replacement because they only work efficiently at low heating temperatures. The heat pump itself may cost you 5 to 10k but you may have to spend another 50-100k on insulation of walls, windows, roof, baseme
